Not having been able to shoot since Stoke, I eventually managed to find a time when I was free and the club was open for training.

It was strange but I found myself trying to shoot with one eye closed instead of both open. I can only put this down to my laziness. At home when dry firing I had been closing my right eye because I didn't want to use my shooting specs. The odd thing is that it has always been said that you should shoot with both eyes open to minimise tension in the face muscles. I found that my face wasn't under tension if I concentrated on it and moreover I could see my sights more clearly. My groupings were more consistent but still having wild shots on most cards.

Not conclusive that shooting like this is the right way to go but it is definitely something to try next Tuesday.

Training at Stoke again.
